GOBLIN APPLES
I have no clue how this somewhat creepy creature was supposed to sell apples, unless it was like using garlic to keep away vampires, will these apples keep the goblins from invading your home?

PROGRESS APPLES
This label captures 2 common themes on crate label art, girls and horses. I understand having girls on the label, they are used to sell everything and have been for a long time, the horse is a little confusing. The only thing I can think of is that it is a wholesome, rural image.

Florida citrus train ad
I think this ad is really nice, the graphics are great and trains have been traditionally associated with Florida so the image really works.

Plymouth Citrus label
This grower's association took advantage of their location's historic name for their label design, however a picture of an old rock doesn't really call to mind yummy, fresh citrus.
Labels:
citrus,
florida,
grapefruit,

oranges

Florida Citrus Civil War label design
I don't know about you but nothing brings fresh grapefruit to mind like thinking about the American Civil War.
